VINIFICATION AND AGING

The grapes for Marangole come from the vineyard of the same name and are harvested exclusively by hand from the upper part of the parcel. Fermentation and maceration take place in terracotta amphorae, with around 30% whole clusters. During fermentation, gentle manual punch-downs are carried out. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the skins for a further three months. Following racking, the wine continues its aging in terracotta amphorae for an additional ten months.

VINTAGE REPORT

A cool spring was followed by a long, warm summer with marked day-to-night temperature variations, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness. Rainfall in June and September, followed by persistent winds, helped prevent water stress and fungal diseases. From veraison to harvest, the grapes ripened evenly, also thanks to the water reserves stored in the soil during the preceding months.

COLOR: bright ruby red, with garnet reflections.

AROMA: fragrant, with notes of aromatic herbs and Mediterranean earth. Sweet notes of blueberry jam on the finish.

TASTE: a distinct freshness linked to present, but elegant tannins.
